About

Expect a mixed gay and straight crowd, especially on sunny days when the sidewalk patio fills with people watching. This airy corner cafe sits directly across from Dolores Park, making it a convenient stop for a pre-park bite. The hummus platter is a standout. It's not fancy, but it's reliable.

You'll order at the counter and grab a number. Seating can be tight, especially on weekends. Late mornings are your best bet for a table. If the line is long, try Bi-Rite Creamery just down the street for a quick dessert.

“All about the location, ok food”

This spot gets very crowded when it's sunny because it's at the edge of Dolores Park. They have excellent salads. I really like the hummus platter, which makes a great lunch before heading to the park. You'll need to queue up and take a number, and seating can be tough to find. Not a must-visit, but worth a try given how convenient it is.
