About
Takara Sushi is a small, off-the-road sushi house in the Castro that locals call the best sushi in the area. It offers fast, fresh specialty rolls, with a salmon skin roll that gets particular praise. The shop also provides soy paper as an alternative to seaweed paper, a nice touch for those who prefer it. It's priced a bit above other neighborhood sushi spots, but the quality matches.
Open for dinner only, starting at 4pm, Takara is a solid stop before catching a show or grabbing a drink nearby. It's a small space, so takeout or delivery might be your best bet on busy nights. The atmosphere is no-fuss, focused on getting you good sushi quickly.

“Best Sushi In Castro”
This tiny sushi spot, tucked away from the main street, serves the best sushi in the neighborhood, in my opinion. The rolls, especially the salmon skin roll, are excellent. They also offer soy paper as a substitute for seaweed paper.
