“Great neighborhood bar”

Although the crowd is diverse, this spot definitely has a gay vibe. The ambiance is very laid-back and welcoming. I feel just as comfortable bringing friends here for a casual brunch as I do stopping in alone on a weekday for a drink or dinner (half-price pasta night!).

“Great Neighborhood Place”

This small, friendly, and comfortable spot makes you feel right at home. The bartender was a great host, and both the drinks and food were spot on. It's gay friendly but draws a mixed crowd. If you want a place to unwind and feel welcomed, this is it. Its proximity to the Eastern Market Metro makes it ideal if you're on Capitol Hill.

We held the first of our planning brunches, one in each quadrant and then one across the river in Anacostia.

“Community hub on Capitol Hill”

It's uncommon to see such a diverse mix of people in one DC restaurant. A gay institution that is gay owned, there are always some gay guys here at any hour. Plus, there is an eclectic blend of neighborhood locals, families, and folks who have been eating here for 30 years. A great spot to get a burger, have a drink, or sit on the patio and read when it's sunny.
