Coquette Bistro & Wine Bar

About

Walk into Coquette Bistro & Wine Bar and you'll notice tile floors and soaring ceilings before you even take in the menu. This French bistro is run by chefs formerly of Commander's Palace and Restaurant August, and the space feels intimate yet polished. It's vegan-friendly and gluten-free-friendly, and the entire staff including owners is under 30 years old.

The upstairs dining room has floor-to-ceiling windows and crystal chandeliers, a more formal option if the main floor is full (and it often is). You'll want a reservation here. For another New Orleans classic, Commander's Palace is just a short trip down the street.

“Delicious!”

We ate here tonight and really enjoyed the food and service. The only problem was they were out of the panna cotta, but the pound cake was excellent.

“Superb new French/New Orleans cuisine on Magazine”

With two owners who are partners and former chefs at Commander's Palace and Restaurant August, it's no surprise this place is amazing. It's the perfect intimate and creative spot, set in a beautiful space with tile floors and high ceilings. Upstairs has a gorgeous dining room with floor-to-ceiling windows and crystal chandeliers. Truly a fantastic place with fantastic food. And everyone who works there, including the owners, is under 30! It's a huge success, and you'll likely need a reservation because word has spread.
