About

Bar: Full bar

A reviewer notes Mr. B's Bistro is "a little more casual" than other Brennan restaurants, though you'll still want to leave the tank tops at home. This French Quarter fixture, opened in 1979, serves Creole cuisine from the Brennan family. Cindy Brennan runs the place and even published a cookbook of its recipes. The atmosphere is relaxed, but the food and service get high marks. You can grab a seat at the bar during happy hour or reserve a table for dinner. The full bar offers cheap cocktails, and the barbecue shrimp is a standout. It's across from Hotel Monteleone, an easy walk from other Quarter spots. Reservations are a good idea, especially for the live jazz Sunday brunch.

Located in the French Quarter at the intersection of Royal and Iberville Streets, Mr. B's Bistro sits on a celebrated food corner near Hotel Monteleone.

“Probably my favorite place to eat,”

It's not the most upscale spot, but the food is excellent and very reasonably priced. Located just at the edge of the gay area, across from Hotel Monteleone. Cocktails are super cheap, and the barbecued shrimp is absolutely incredible.

“Great food & Service”

Mr. B's is part of the Brennan restaurant group but feels more relaxed than some other upscale spots in the French Quarter—you can wear walking shorts, just no tank tops. The food, atmosphere, and service are all excellent. Well worth a visit.
