About
Locals and tourists mix here over all-day breakfast and inventive New Orleans fare. Stanley, by chef Scott Boswell (of the acclaimed Stella!), serves classic dishes with a twist. Think Eggs Benedict Poor Boy on French bread or fried oysters with your eggs. The dining room overlooks Jackson Square, so you get a view of the cathedral and the lively square. It's a casual spot with a friendly, youthful staff.
Come early to beat the brunch rush; they're open 8 am to 3 or 4 pm depending on the day. Homemade ice cream makes a great any-time treat. The crowd is mostly gay-friendly mixed, so it's comfortable for everyone. If you're in the mood for more traditional Creole, Mother's is a short walk away.
Located in the French Quarter, this spot sits right off Chartres Street at Jackson Square, putting you in the center of historic New Orleans.

“Glad it's here!”
I absolutely love Stanley. The service is excellent, and breakfast is amazing. I'm picky about Eggs Benedict, and their Benedict Poor Boy is fantastic—the French bread literally melts in your mouth. I can't visit New Orleans without stopping here at least once. Haven't tried their sister restaurant Stella yet, but I really want to.

“Great Brunch!”
Sunday brunch at Stanley's is lovely. Each marble table had a small vase with fresh flowers, and being on Market Square, the atmosphere is hard to beat. The food was good and service was quick.

“It's a good place, in a great location”
The chef creates many New Orleans-inspired dishes. They have great pancakes, inventive lunches, interesting egg dishes like Eggs Benedict with fried oysters, homemade ice cream sundaes, and sandwiches. Open daily from 7 am to 7 pm. The waitstaff is friendly and young. The view of the town's main square is a real treat.

“YUMMY! Can't wait to return”
I'd read about Stanley and was eager to try it for months before my September 2009 trip to the French Quarter. We ended up going twice for breakfast and twice for their homemade ice cream—so delicious! They serve traditional New Orleans food with some unique twists. Open 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., breakfast all day. Located on St. Ann Street with a direct view of Jackson Square. Staff is friendly and the place is very clean. Can't wait to return. Check their menu online.
