About

What sets Fiore apart from other Italian spots in Boston's North End is its rare combination of Zagat-rated pedigree and sunny sidewalk seating that feels genuinely transportive. This Little Italy staple serves classic Italian fare and pizza with solid wine bar credentials, though its 3.4/5 Yelp rating suggests divisive opinion among the 746 reviewers who've visited. The dining room won't wow you with innovation, but the reliable menu delivers generous portions best shared with friends.

Start your North End crawl here with drinks, then migrate to dinner elsewhere before circling back for more — regulars know the flexible layout rewards repeat visits. Reservations are your best bet if you want that coveted outdoor table, especially on warm weekends. For classic Italian ambiance without the tourist markup, you'll find a straightforward, unhurried lunch or dinner. Afterward, nearby Mike's Pastry handles dessert better than most restaurants in the neighborhood.

Fiore sits in the heart of Boston's Little Italy in the North End, a historic neighborhood known for its dense concentration of Italian restaurants and pastry shops.

“Impossible to have a bad meal here.”

Getting a bad meal in Boston's North End is nearly impossible because real estate is so expensive that no restaurant can afford to serve poor food. My North End tradition: start around 3 or 4 PM. Have drinks at one place. Have dinner at another, after checking menus and asking around. But return to the first place later. After dinner, skip dessert at the restaurant and go to Mike's Pastry for a selection of excellent Italian pastries and a mocha. Ristorante Fiore is one of my favorites. It is a bit expensive, but you will have plenty of food. Bring friends.

“Dine al fresco from Fiore's patio or roofdeck”

The North End isn't really a gay neighborhood, but many visitors want to see it. If you want to eat outdoors there, I suggest making a reservation at Ristorante Fiore.
