About

Picco is open daily from 11 am, closing at 10 pm Sunday through Wednesday and until 11 pm Thursday through Saturday. This Back Bay spot offers a fresh take on Italian cuisine, with twists like Vietnamese cinnamon in the dishes. You'll find a rich variety of pizzas, and the open kitchen lets you watch the chefs work near the pizza ovens. The crowd is mixed, and it's not uncommon to see a line out the door.

The menu includes salads, pizzas, and house-made gelato. It's a solid choice for a date, with prices that won't break the bank. Picco has also partnered with local non-profit Cambridge Cares About AIDS, hosting fundraising dinners. The vibe is casual and the service is quick. If you're in the area, Veggie Galaxy is another option nearby. Get there early to avoid the wait.

Located in Back Bay, near E Berkley St, this spot sits between shopping and dining districts.

“Best Pizza we ever ate!!”

Absolutely adored this spot! We were seated near the pizza ovens and could watch the cooks create our pizza with garlic, caramelized onions, house-made Italian sausage, bacon, and gorgonzola — it was incredible. The crust was perfectly bubbly with air pockets, just how we like it. Their homemade gelato selection looked tempting, but we were too full after salad and pizza. The crowd was mixed, and there was a line out the door. It was next to a jazz club, maybe the Beehive? Great place; we'll go back when we're in Boston.
