About
South Kansas City's The Mixx is a locally-owned salad and sandwich bar that Kansas Citians turn to for fast, health-focused meals. Opened in 2005 as the city's first healthy fast-casual spot, it was founded by Jo Marie Scaglia after her years as a high-end caterer in San Francisco. Every dish is her original creation, from made-to-order salads tossed in about 30 seconds to soups, wraps, and quinoa bowls. They prep from scratch, avoid processed ingredients, and offer specialty menus for Whole30, Paleo, and Keto. The Mixx also has beer and wine, free WiFi, and outdoor seating.
The Mixx keeps things simple and quick, ideal for a lunch break or casual dinner. Its South Kansas City location sees a steady stream of regulars who appreciate consistent quality.
