The Boiler Room

James Beard-nominated French restaurant in a historic boiler room

About

Bar: Full barBest nights: Thu, Fri, Sat

The exposed brick and low lighting of a converted boiler room set the scene at this chef-driven Omaha restaurant. James Beard semi-finalist Tim Nicholson changes the menu daily, working with local farms and flown-in seafood. The wine list, curated by Master Sommelier Jesse Becker, is one of the area's most extensive European selections. Outdoor seating and a full bar with handcrafted cocktails round out the experience.

Reservations are a good idea here — the space is intimate and dressy attire is expected. Located in the Old Market's historic Bemis Bag Building, it's worth a stop between other neighborhood favorites like M's Pub. Tucked below ground, the restaurant's exterior gives no hint of the warm, refined atmosphere inside.

“Omaha's Newest French Hot Spot”

Hidden and mostly underground, this chef-led Old Market spot has earned numerous honors since 2009. The outside gives no hint of the welcoming atmosphere inside. The menu changes daily depending on the chef's inspiration and the day's local produce and fresh seafood.
