About

Bar: Full bar

ACME opens Thursday through Saturday from 10pm to 4am, making it a rare late-night option in the East Village. The space was once a long-time Cajun mainstay, but now serves Italian-French fusion in a moody, upscale setting. It's a mixed gay-straight crowd, mostly 30- and 40-somethings.

Reservations are accepted, and there's a full bar and happy hour. Yelp reviews are mixed: some praise the bartenders and atmosphere, while others question the food's authenticity (one reviewer claimed the Cajun dishes were authentic, though the owners describe it as New American bistro). It's not a place for a quick bite; the vibe is relaxed but refined.

ACME is in the East Village, a neighborhood known for its nightlife and diverse dining scene.

“BIG food!!”

This place serves large, home-style southern food. Huge portions, lots of sides to choose from, and on Tuesdays there are special deals on drinks and food at the bar. It's perfect for when you are very hungry.

“Love it”

I love the food, very tasty, and there is a bar with friendly bartenders who serve with a smile. At night the atmosphere changes completely, and you have to experience it yourself. The bouncers are so attractive you would want them to serve you too.

“A place where i love to stay”

This isn't just a spot for a quick bite; it's somewhere to stay and enjoy the food and the New Yorker style. The decor is inviting, the food is excellent, but the best part is the relaxed atmosphere in a city that's always on the go.

“This is the Real Deal!”

Who would think you could find real Cajun and Southern food in New York? Well, you can find almost anything in New York, but this place is incredible. The food is definitely authentic, even including black-eyed peas. As someone who has lived in Louisiana, I can say this is as good as any home cooking in New Orleans.
