Momofuku Noodle Bar

About
The open kitchen at Momofuku Noodle Bar lets you watch chefs prepare your meal, with fresh noodles cooked to order. This East Village spot was David Chang's first restaurant, opened in 2004, and it's where the famous pork buns originated. The menu changes seasonally, offering ramen, steamed buns, and soft serve ice cream. It's a lively, mixed crowd space with a full bar.
You'll want to walk in or grab a reservation online. The fried chicken dinner for two is a standout, and the soft serve is a must-try. Prices are moderate, with small dishes $12-16 and large dishes $18-21. It's casual but feels special, especially if you snag a seat at the counter.
Momofuku Noodle Bar is located in the East Village, a neighborhood known for its eclectic dining and nightlife scene.

“The Best meal I have had in New York to date”
I knew nothing about this spot until a friend from Japan insisted I visit when in New York, praising the cookbook and the chef's take on Asian noodles. Watching the kitchen staff prepare food right in front of me truly enhanced the evening, and an attractive cook caught my eye, making the experience even more enjoyable. The ingredients were fresh, and I honestly believe these were among the best noodles I've ever tasted. Just thinking about them makes my mouth water; they were absolutely incredible.
