Only come here if you're fine with being treated like a lesser person. My family arrived on time for our reservation but waited at least forty minutes, maybe longer, to be seated. Meanwhile, several groups of similar size who arrived after us were seated sooner. When we pointed this out to the hostess, she said someone in that group was a regular or something. So that was it. We were clearly being treated as inferior. Even if the restaurant thinks it's good for business to rank guests, being so open about it seems unwise. Another time they claimed the table was a bar booth and we were assigned to a different area, even though we didn't pick a section when booking. This place really pushes an elitist vibe. I overheard a waiter tell a busboy that another guest was super important, using that exact phrase. So that's how they operate—judging your social status and treating you accordingly. This city has millions of people who can afford their prices. Hosts usually have no real info about who walks in, so their calls about who matters are arbitrary, which will alienate locals and return visitors who have money. We felt deeply insulted. I saw other reviews mentioning being treated poorly based on race, gender, or perceived status. Before booking, ask yourself if you want to support such a sleazy business.

“Reliable top-notch steakhouse”

Consistent food (especially the steaks) and straightforward service in a modern, cozy atmosphere keep us coming back to Porter House several times a year. Great for celebrations or just a night when you crave a big steak.
