Dunston's Steakhouse

Famous Texas steakhouse

About

The smell of mesquite smoke hits you at the door, a signature of this Dallas steakhouse since the '60s. Steaks are broiled over an open grill, and the salad bar is serve-yourself. The place feels cluttered and homey, like a neighbor's house. The crowd leans older and monied. It's a singular Texas experience.

“Great steaks in Dallas”

A rustic Texas steakhouse that has been serving mesquite-grilled steaks for 34 years. They have an open grill and a self-serve salad bar. The decor is unique and cluttered, giving the feeling of eating at a neighbor's house. Steaks are excellent, the wine selection is good, and the wait staff is outstanding. The crowd tends to be older and wealthier.
