Came in around 4:15 PM on a Sunday, hoping to buy something small and make a donation, but left feeling angry, disappointed, and disillusioned. The clerk seemed almost happy to say they couldn't sell an item without a tag, and the manager condescendingly said they'd just send it to the back for repricing. No willingness to help, no curiosity, just pure dismissal. For a place supposedly rooted in charity and compassion, there was none of that shown. I even filled out a feedback form on their website afterward, and of course no one ever replied, which tells me the problem goes beyond just one bad interaction. What hurts most is that I took a chance on supporting an institution that hasn't historically supported people like me. I wanted to believe this place could be different, inclusive and redeeming, but instead it reinforced why I stopped trusting these kinds of organizations. A donation-based store that can't sell to willing customers or treat them with basic respect doesn't deserve my support, and it won't get it again.
