About
PARU started as a pop-up at local markets in 2017, growing into a La Jolla flagship in 2021. This LGBTQ+ owned tea company sources loose leaf teas directly from small farms in China, Japan, Thailand, and Vietnam. They offer original blends and house-milled matcha, plus an art gallery called Bow Hall for rotating exhibits and tea tastings. The shop is women-led and trans-friendly, with a community-focused vibe.
