About
The Archive redefines high-end menswear with a focus on avant-garde Japanese and European labels like Attachment, Rick Owens, and Julius. This boutique in San Francisco's Richmond neighborhood offers a relaxed, unpretentious atmosphere where the owners, Arthur and David, guide you through a curated selection. The vibe is quiet and upscale, appealing to men in their 30s-50s looking to stand out.
Prices are undeniably high (think $$$$), but fans say the finds are worth it. Weekday afternoons are ideal for a personal styling session. The store carries clothing, accessories, and gifts from emerging global designers, with a distinctly gothic, luxe edge. Nearby, Green Apple Books makes a great stop for browsing after your visit.

“Whole new shopping experience”
I have to admit that when I first went to The Archive, I dressed in Brooks Brothers and J Crew. Nothing fit me well, everything was too boxy and loose, and I looked like every other guy in the city. This store completely transformed my wardrobe. I spent a lot of money but found amazing pieces, many at good prices. I especially love my leather jacket, a vest, and cargo pants. If you go during a slow time like a weekday afternoon, you'll feel like you're in your own fashion show, with the owner and another staff member giving you a personal tour of new arrivals.

Forget about suits from Banana Republic or J Crew that don't fit well. It's time for a real upgrade. Just bring a premium credit card on your first visit to this men's boutique, which features many forward-thinking non-mainstream designers from Europe and Asia. If you want to stand out in a crowd in a good way, you should visit this store. I love it. Where else can you find brands like Attachment, Rick Owens, MA+, Robert Geller, Julius, Viridi-Anne, and others? The best part is the service. The atmosphere is very relaxed and easygoing, which I personally appreciate. There's no arrogance or snobbery here. Say hello to Arthur and David if you stop by.
