Portland Saturday Market stands apart from other Portland shops as the largest continually operating outdoor arts and crafts market in the nation. Since 1974, over 250 small businesses and individual artists from across the Northwest gather each week in Waterfront Park and Ankeny Plaza. Everything is handmade and juried, from paintings and jewelry to blown glass and specialty foods. You meet the artists directly at their booths. It's dog friendly, so bring your pup. The market runs Saturdays 10am-5pm, March through December, rain or shine.
It's one of the most popular spots for local gifts, especially for the holidays. Make a $25+ purchase and get a free Tri-Met ticket or two-hour parking validation at any Smart Park garage. Take a short walk to Powell's City of Books after for a full day of browsing queer-friendly Portland.

“A wonderful market”
I enjoy strolling through the Portland Saturday Market just to look at everything. There are so many different stalls to check out, and the diversity of goods is impressive. I find it especially great for holiday gift shopping.
