“From Balboa Park to Broadway”
Given its long track record of sending top-notch productions from Balboa Park to Broadway, the Old Globe is sure to offer something that will earn a standing ovation. With works ranging from Sondheim to Neil Simon to numerous other plays that later made it to New York, and led by a Tony-winning artistic director, the theater presents a wide variety of work. And summer wouldn't be complete without the Shakespeare Festival—the theater takes its name from the Bard's playhouse, and its Shakespeare productions are among the best globally.
