Winterthur Museum

Lovely country estate dedicated to decorative arts

About

Unlike most decorative arts museums, Winterthur preserves the intimate atmosphere of a country estate while housing one of the finest collections of American antiques. The former DuPont home displays furniture, textiles, and ceramics from 1640 to 1860, all within the original rooms where the family lived. The 60-acre garden offers a naturalistic landscape with rolling meadows and seasonal blooms.
