City Museum
Arts & Culture · St. Louis, MO
About
You might expect a children's museum, but City Museum in St. Louis is closer to a surrealist playground. It's an interactive funhouse built from reclaimed architectural artifacts, featuring man-made caverns, indoor slides, a circus ring with live acts, and a shark tank with a crawl-through tunnel. The place is mixed-gay-straight and skews adults, too, perfect for a date or a solo adventure. It's been a downtown staple since 1997.
Hours run daily 10am, closing at 6pm most nights but 9pm on Fridays and Saturdays. You'll find it on Delmar Boulevard. The $13.20 price tag is reasonable for a full day of exploration. Bring your curiosity and a sense of adventure.

“Fun for adults too”
It's a wonderful spot to wander and have fun. I enjoy visiting it with a companion. A place where grown-ups can feel like children again.
