About

Open Tuesday through Sunday from 9am to 5pm, The Albuquerque International Balloon Museum fits neatly into a day exploring Albuquerque's unique attractions. This museum is the only one of its kind, dedicated entirely to the art, science, and history of hot air ballooning and other lighter-than-air flight. Interactive exhibits cover everything from the first balloon flight in 1783 to modern sport ballooning.

Since opening in 2005, the museum has hosted over a million visitors. It's a great stop before or after visiting The Albuquerque Museum of Art and History , just a short drive away. Free wifi is available, and the museum hosts community events and rental spaces throughout the year. You'll find gondolas, zeppelins, and hot air balloons on display.
