About

Unlike smaller local galleries, the Memorial Art Gallery houses over 12,000 objects spanning 5,000 years, a collection once called the best balanced in New York outside NYC. Housed in an Italian Renaissance-style building donated by Emily Sibley Watson in memory of her son, this University of Rochester museum offers year-round temporary exhibits, lectures, concerts, and family activities. Wednesdays through Sundays, you'll find free wifi and rotating art inside, plus the outdoor Centennial Sculpture Park for year-round access.
