Open Wednesday through Sunday, the Tacoma Art Museum is a great stop for an afternoon of Northwest art. Founded by volunteers in 1935, it holds the premier public collection of Dale Chihuly's glass sculptures and the Haub Family Collection of Western American Art. USA Today named it one of the 'Top 10 Great Places to See Art in Smaller Cities.'
The museum's cafe, store, and art studio are free to enter without a ticket. Thursday hours extend until 8pm, perfect for an evening visit. You can also rent event space for up to 500 guests. Don't miss the nearby Museum of Glass for more glass art.
