Stacy's at Melrose

I've been coming to Stacy's more often since finding out they have nights featuring darkwave music. The place has a really unique gothic look inside, and I like the crowd. The music is great, the people are fun, and the drinks are strong.

Our ride didn't drop us where the bouncer wanted, near the ice box, and he was really rude. We'd only been once before and didn't know about the specific drop-off spot—we would have been fine if we'd known—but being insulted over it wasn't necessary. When he checked IDs, I showed mine and he said, 'What happened.' The owner apologized for the bouncer's behavior and was very nice, but that encounter made the rest of the night less enjoyable. Without that bouncer, I'd rate this place higher.

“Amazing”

I went by myself and ended up with many new friends. Being new in town, they made me feel really welcome; I probably met around 8 people. The music was excellent, and the drink deals were quite good too.

The bar has a somewhat gothic decor, but the staff is friendly and nice, which makes it my second-favorite spot.

“Quirky, but nice”

The decor inspired by North African design is a bit unusual, but there's a very pleasant lounge area, and the owner is genuinely kind.
