“Very Cliquish”
My husband and I recently moved to Atlanta and were hoping to find a regular hangout. We ended up spending a long, very smoky evening at Felix's, where nobody except the bartenders talked to us. Everyone else stayed in their own groups and ignored us. Karaoke started hours after the scheduled time and was taken over by a few people who showed up just in time to sing. The drinks were weak. (I usually feel a buzz after one drink, but after several at Felix's I was still sober.) Will we come back? Probably not, and definitely not without our own group.

The straight bartender was really cute... had some great drinks, met a few nice people, and it's right across from Burkhart's so you can easily hop between bars.

“SATURDAY NIGHT KARAOKE EXCEPTIONALLY FABULOUS!”
I know 'fabulous' is overused in gay circles, but it fits here. A friend who likes karaoke dragged me to Felix's on a Saturday evening. We arrived about an hour and a half before the 10 PM start to secure bar seats and for him to build up courage. Before karaoke, we chatted with friendly bartenders and tried their 'Bowl' drinks (specialty cocktails in large bowl-shaped glasses with paper umbrellas). The Peach Daiquiri was delicious and a good deal. The night became fantastic when the cast of 'RENT' (opening at a local theater in February-March) came in after rehearsal for karaoke. They performed songs from the show and other karaoke. All were bubbly and talented, infectious like champagne. Also, a former backup singer for Bette Midler sang incredibly, outshining any 'American Idol' contestant. The karaoke host had a great voice and drew talented singers. The brave locals who sang against that competition rose to the challenge admirably. The crowd was diverse across ages, genders, and personalities, and despite being one of the oldest there, I felt welcomed. Overall, one of my most enjoyable nights out. Thanks to the staff and all the singers.
