MSR My Sisters Room

About

East Atlanta's MSR My Sisters Room has long been known as the city's legendary lesbian nightclub, but it's open to everyone. The space spans a lively bar with Southern fare and local craft beers, plus drag shows, dancing, karaoke, and even a sports-bar feel depending on the night. An outdoor patio extends the party when weather permits.

Reviews mention the crowd leans younger, mostly 20s and 30s, and some note the vibe can feel rowdy. Cover is reported around $8, and the music leans current, often hip-hop and pop. If a quieter night calls, Mary's is just two doors down.

MSR My Sisters Room is located in East Atlanta, a neighborhood with several other LGBTQ+ venues within walking distance.

More than a year ago, I visited this place in 2010 and had a fantastic time. If my wife and I were in the city now, I'd bring her here. Highlights included good-looking bartenders and a lively crowd.

“sucks so bad”

This place is terrible, and the music is awful. If you want to have fun with some Latin women, go to a different club on a specific highway on Friday nights.

“Sux”

Charging eight dollars for cover is ridiculous. Everyone acts like a gangster, including the security guards who are bullies. The women think they're attractive but aren't; I've never seen so many unattractive women in one place. There's nothing positive to say, so I'll stop.

“Loved it!!!”

The club was fantastic. I'm telling everyone I know to go there!

“Old MSR was better”

The music is awful—when did thugged-out ghetto become the only thing they play? I'm tired of the drag shows, the high cover charge, and the slow bartenders. The restrooms are smoky and dirty. Go to the bar two doors down instead.
