A leather bar with a backroom and a long history. Touche opened in 1977 and remains one of Chicago's few surviving bars for the leather scene, with a crowd that leans toward bears and guys in their 30s and 40s.

The front bar has a pool table and casual seating. The back bar is the cruising area, often with a theme night dress code. Check their website for the nightly theme before heading out.

We visited with local friends and tried to go to the back bar, but the guy working there said they had a leather or uniform dress code that night. We were all disappointed. We stayed in the front bar and had drinks. Our friend thought of a way to get one of us in using leather items we had. When I approached, the guy said he didn't care what I was wearing and accused our group of mocking people inside, saying he was offended and I couldn't enter. I was shocked and upset because he couldn't have heard us from a distance. My friends and I are professionals who don't judge or mock others. I felt he discriminated against us based on our appearance. The entrance staff told me that guy was the manager. I don't recommend this place and won't return because the manager makes unfounded judgments.

“SO Much Fun Every Time”

Whenever I visit Chicago, I always end up becoming a regular at Touché. The atmosphere and patrons are always up for a good time, and my unique talents are always wanted and valued in the back area. Absolutely adore this place. It's a must!

“Leather bar????”

Leather? Where? Who? I was very let down after visiting, even though the staff was nice and friendly.

“Awesome!”

I thoroughly enjoyed this spot. It was my first visit to Touché and the leather scene overall, and now I'm completely drawn in. The back bar was very sexually charged, with plenty of activity, hot and sweaty, featuring men of all types from slender young guys to big muscular leather enthusiasts, bikers, cowboys, and everyone in between. I can't wait to return. Next time I'll book a nearby room so I can stay until 5am. I had to leave early to drive back to Milwaukee, which was my poor planning.
