A crowd spilling out the door, drag queens working the stage, and cheap drinks flowing from two bars. That's Bubby & Sissy's on a Friday or Saturday night. This big-box gay bar sits just across the Mississippi from St. Louis, and the parking lot is full of Missouri plates most weekends. The space is split between a main bar with a video wall and a dance floor, a second bar near the stage, a patio for smoking and talking, and a couple of pool tables in back. Drag shows run every Friday and Saturday, and Sundays bring karaoke.
It's open daily from 3pm to 1am (1pm on Sundays), so you can roll in late after other places close. The crowd leans 20s to 30s, mixed locals and out-of-towners, and the energy stays high until last call. If you want a table near the stage during a drag show, show up before 10pm. Otherwise, you'll be standing.

“you all are very bitter....”
We always have a great time... I just left another Saturday night with about 400 people... I guess the sales numbers speak for themselves... And for the record, all our bartenders have all their teeth lol... Also, if you're trying to hook up at a bar and base your review on that, have fun wherever you go... and wrap it up because hooking up in a bar is risky! If you want to have a good time, come to Bubby and Sissy's! Remember, there will always be haters!

“Fabulous!”
This is the best gay bar I have been to, and also the best drag show. The performers are hilarious and extremely friendly. Everyone here is welcoming and fun to get to know. It gets crowded on Friday and Saturday nights. Dancing, cheap drinks, and the owner is an absolute riot. Great place with no nonsense and fun all around!
