“Creeps...”
At first glance, this appears to be a decent dive bar. A unique aspect is that you have to ring a bell and get buzzed in by the bartender, who checks you through a small window. Given how unpredictable people can be in this town, that extra security is reassuring. However, the positive feelings ended there. The crowd seemed older, which is fine but not what I was after. A man from across the bar came over to chat, which was friendly, but he wanted me to join them, and I just wanted to sit and drink, so I said I'd maybe come over later. I'd had a rough day and was trying to clear my head, so I might have been a bit tense. He kept returning, offering to buy me a drink, and when I declined, he demanded to know why. I became very uncomfortable and left as soon as I felt safe to drive. To make matters worse, the music was bad and the place wasn't very busy, though I arrived a bit early. This bar might work for some people, but it wasn't for me.

I still recall my initial visit... extremely welcoming and relaxed environment.

“I am going to be very fair....”
This spot works if you are overweight, wear flannel, and know the LSU football theme song. The manager on duty acts very professionally. That is all I have to say.
