“The bar has changed owners”
Michael's on the Park has been renamed Grandpre's. The vibe is totally different now and the energy is fantastic. It has become the popular new spot in the French Quarter, with the only outdoor patio among the gay bars in that area.

“Michael is always a smiling and friendly face”
This venue has become an excellent show bar, hosting 2 to 4 shows weekly and is a favorite among many Gay Mardi Gras Krewes. As a major sponsor of the Gay Easter Parade, it's always the gathering spot to greet everyone and enjoy the wonderful buffet. I can't say enough positive things about this place.

“friendly bar”
There have been major changes in the last year; it was closed and is waiting to reopen under new management. I'm not too thrilled about the new club situation, but only time will tell. Both the customers and staff are mostly friendly. The drag queens are delightful to socialize with. I joined a couple of them on a side trip to another bar in their car, just like old friends. I feel at home here. This bar is now closed, scheduled to reopen under new management, but time will tell.

“Without Loretta, it would have been a total bust!”
We came to see a specific female impersonator from a southern state perform, and she was excellent (along with most of the others), but the venue itself is very run-down. A large group of us ordered drinks at the same time, which overwhelmed the bartender, and we ended up not getting any drinks. We were really let down by the service.
