About
The crowd here leans toward the 20s and 30s, mostly out for a rowdy night on Bourbon Street. Oz won GAA Dance Club & Show Bar of the Year 2022 and Y'at Magazine's Best Gay Bar of 2022, so it's got credentials to back up the energy. DJs, drag shows, and go-go dancers keep the place moving until 4 AM on weekends.
There's a pool table and a smoking area if you need a breather from the dance floor. Happy hour draws a crowd, and the after-hours vibe means you can stay late. If you're starting on Bourbon, The Saint Bar & Lounge is another local spot worth checking out nearby.
Located in the French Quarter on Bourbon Street near St Ann Street, surrounded by popular gay bars like The Saint Bar & Lounge and Rawhide Lounge.

You have to stop here when you're on Bourbon Street. The music is consistently excellent and the crowd is lively. Highlights include great tunes, attractive bartenders, an energetic crowd, a bit of chaos, and potent cocktails.

“Falcons vs Saints 2015”
A close friend visited Oz with me. It's supposedly among the top gay bars in the country, but when we went, it was empty. My friend is under 21 and got charged a $10 cover. I don't recall drink prices clearly since I was already pretty drunk. The music was okay and the atmosphere cool. I think it had two floors? Honestly, The Bonham in San Antonio and Highlands in Austin are much better. Maybe it was just the day we happened to go? If so, could someone suggest what day to visit next time I'm in New Orleans? Despite this, I'd give it another shot and update my review.
