About

Open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, Fun Hog Ranch is a dive bar that runs on its own schedule. Leather and levis are the unofficial uniform, and the crowd leans heavily toward bears and daddies in their 30s to 50s.

Drinks are cheap, and each bar seat comes with a video poker machine. Special events happen monthly: Gear Night the first Saturday, Oink Night the third Saturday benefiting Sin City Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence. A few Yelp reviewers report aggressive gambling pitches, so keep an eye on your credits.

Located in Downtown Las Vegas, off the Strip, it's a true neighborhood watering hole away from tourist crowds.

“great bar”

This bar has great drink deals and feels as comfortable as an old shoe. There's also another bar called FLEX right across the parking lot.

“Hustled by the bar”

I've been visiting the Fun Hog Ranch for 20 years, but I won't go back after last night (8/22/22 at 11:45 PM). I took a rideshare from the Strip and ordered a vodka rocks. The bartender asked if I knew how to use the bar's gambling games. I said no. He told me to put in a $20 bill, play $1, and then I'd get $19 back and my first drink free for gambling. I did as instructed. When I tried to play, the screen showed no money. The player and bet lights weren't even on. I called the bartender, who said I must have played it all. But I never pressed a single button because I didn't know how. They unapologetically scammed me out of $20. I assume it's because there were only 4 customers. The bartender blamed me, so I paid for my drink and left. $20 lost to the bar's hustle, plus $5.50 for a drink. Don't trust the bartenders at Fun Hog Ranch—an expensive lesson.

“Fun Visit”

I had a great time here. Bartenders and customers were all very welcoming. Drinks were reasonably priced. I have read some negative reviews, but I believe you get what you give. I met someone from another country while I was there. I will definitely come back next time I am in town.

“Great Bar”

One of the best places. Two specific bartenders are excellent. Friday and Saturday nights are amazing.

“Smaller neighborhood bar with great staff and good energy”

Fun Hog Ranch is a small bar away from the Strip that's a good spot for drinks on a Saturday night. It's like a local neighborhood bar. Drinks are very reasonably priced, not the $20 ones you see elsewhere in Las Vegas. The staff is friendly, and we especially like the manager on duty. Fun Hog is extra fun during special events like Gear Night on the first Saturday of the month, which encourages leather or athletic wear but accepts any attire. Oink Night, usually the third Saturday, is a fundraiser for the Sin City Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence and features fun contests like Best Nipples and Best Butt. Definitely a fun place to grab a drink and hang with friends or meet new people.
