Bob and Barbara's Lounge

Dancing · Karaoke · Philadelphia, PA

About

Bar: Full barBest nights: Thu, Fri, Sat

This South Street dive bar pulls off a trick few venues can manage: live jazz, karaoke, and drag shows under the same low ceiling. Thursday nights are the standout, with drag shows that draw a mix of gays and curious straights, all drinking shots and beers at budget prices.

The vibe is relaxed but rowdy when the crowd gets going. Hours are consistent every day from 4pm to 2am, making it an easy stop before or after other South Street haunts. If you're near Woody's , it's a different energy, but Bob and Barbara's owns the divey, unpretentious corner of Philly's gay scene.

Located on South Street, a popular nightlife strip in Philadelphia known for its eclectic bars and restaurants.

“great bar, good price, on drinks with out killing your bank roll”

Enjoyed myself here, though it can get overcrowded at times. Still, I had a good time and my friends did too.
