About

You'll notice the smoke before you see the pool table. Trax is a dive bar that's been under the radar for years, with a patio where smoking is allowed. Drag shows and dancing happen here regularly. The crowd skews 30s to 40s, mostly regulars who know each other by name.

The bar is open daily from noon until 3am, so you can stop by early or late. Some reviews mention the smell of smoke indoors and occasional attitude at the bar. It's a no-frills spot that doesn't try to be anything else. If you're looking for a polished gay club, this isn't it.

Located in downtown Nashville near Carney St, it's off the main strip and easy to miss.

“Trax”

This is a fantastic, down-to-earth bar where everyone is welcome. The owner and staff are always welcoming. The people who leave negative reviews are obviously snobs who think they're too good for this place. Get a life!!!

“Don’t”

It has a lot of potential, but the strong smell of meth and the bartenders' attitudes ruin it. I really enjoy dive bars, but I've had some truly awful experiences here repeatedly. I hope I eventually learn to stay away.

“Low end clientele”

We're preppy out-of-towners. When we walked in, everyone immediately turned and stared at us. It felt like we'd walked into a black bar. We left right away. The whole place had an intense smoke smell with no ventilation. It was packed with smokers and people who look like they spend their whole paycheck there.
