Lively Austin classic featuring drag shows, dancing, and an easy-going crowd for mingling—you can also head next door to Rain if it gets too busy. A very fun place to meet friends, both old and new, for a cocktail, watch a drag show, or just hang out. Great music, fun crowd, excellent happy hour, and strong drinks.

“THE FUN HOUSE”

Love the energy here, they always make you feel like family. It's also amusing to see the expressions of straight people visiting for the first time—they always seem amazed at the talent and fun we have. Great place to go alone or with friends.

“Too busy”

Having to wait 20 to 25 minutes just to get a drink means the bar is too crowded for my taste.

“Awesome bar that does not belie it's age”

I was here 21 years ago and the layout has barely changed. But don't let that stop you. The staff is fantastic—friendly, attentive to regulars, and genuinely caring. As an older gay man, I felt completely welcome and had a wonderful time the weekend I visited this bar. It's an official Austin institution worth checking out.
