“Great place and very accepting!”
This is definitely the best bar that Caven runs. As a trans person, I find the women and men here to be really nice, welcoming, and polite. They play good music and there's none of the attitude you get at other places. I think it's the best in the area.

“Another Caven Screwup”
Caven made a really dumb move by swapping the locations of their best club here with Sue Ellen's. It ruined both businesses. The old spot was thriving and great, with lesbians feeling at home watching live bands on the patio in sneakers drinking beer. Now the gays hate the new location and lesbians hate the old one. Combined with the S4 disaster, it's three huge mistakes by Caven, which is run by straight owners. It's sad for the local gay community.

“NOLA Loves SueEllens”
Every time we visit, we go to Sue Ellen's and have a wonderful time. There's no place like this for women back home; there are about 13 clubs for men or mixed crowds, but nothing like this. The manager is fantastic and very welcoming to visitors, which we really appreciate. See you next time.

I really enjoy going to Sue Ellen's. The staff is friendly, the women are attractive with a diverse range of ages and looks, the music is good, there are great events, and it's just a fun place.
