All the older reviews are about a bar that no longer exists. This place is now a piano bar owned by someone who is gay, and it's very popular with music lovers and people on cruise ships. Highlights: great music, attractive bartenders, a lively crowd, excellent happy hour deals, potent drinks, and a chill atmosphere.

“A local bar for local people.....”
This bar is worn out, unkempt, and depressing. It's a bring-your-own-bottle spot with nothing to offer tourists. It would have seemed outdated even in the 1970s.

“AVOID THIS BAR...”
Out of the four gay bars on the island, this one ranks dead last in my opinion. It's a bring-your-own-bottle gay bar next to a convenience store and a daycare in a shopping strip. The parking lot frequently has drug raids, and it's a common hangout for crackheads. Being BYOB attracts a frugal crowd as well as people with no money at all, which is never good. You're bound to get hit up by hustlers. Am I bitter? Maybe a little. I prefer a classier group. Third Coast, Stars, and Roberts Lafitte are much nicer places to hang out. Enjoy your stay in Galveston, but avoid this bar at all costs for your safety.

“Nice view”
It's an okay bar. The best thing about it is probably the ocean view since it's on Seawall Boulevard. The crowd isn't attractive, and there's not much happening, but it's a decent spot to grab a drink when you've had enough of the nasty beaches here.
