This place is not friendly towards military personnel. The staff was extremely rude and made outsiders feel unwelcome. For a fun gay bar experience, head to Milwaukee or the Reef in Wisconsin Dells. I drove two hours to Club Five and left without even getting a single drink.

“so much better”
I used to visit Club Five when the barracks were still there and it wasn't really my scene. After the remodel and taking down the wall, it feels much more open and classy. They've also added volleyball courts in the parking lot, which will definitely draw a big crowd. Worth checking out.

Not my top choice; there are older queens and jaded locals. I only seem to have fun when I meet visitors. Otherwise, it's a nice space, with an occasional cover charge. Check the website for nightly events.
