Shamrock Bar & Grille
Dancing · Karaoke · Madison, WI
About
The Shamrock is a neighborhood staple that's been around since 1985, mixing dancing by night with brunch and lunch by day. On a Saturday night, you might catch avant-garde TV programming and a mostly ladies crowd, while a holiday visit could reveal gifts for needy children and cute boys at the bar. The bartenders and burgers get regular love from locals.
Check their Facebook for nightly specials and event schedules. Sunday brunch is a favorite for regulars, and the full bar and happy hour make it easy to linger. It's a friendly spot whether you're new in town or a regular.

“What the...?”
Visited for the first time on a Saturday around 10:20 PM. The bar was mostly women, with unusual black-and-white content playing on the screens. Otherwise, it was quiet. I didn't realize Saturdays could be slow at a Wisconsin bar. Might stop by again if I'm back in town. GO PACKERS!

“big fun”
This small bar was really fun, with great beer, music, and patrons. My last visit was near the holiday season. They clearly have a generous spirit since there were presents for underprivileged kids. Also, plenty of attractive men to talk to.

“Great Place for Brunch”
I'm at the Shamrock often. The bartenders and burgers are excellent, but Sunday brunch is my favorite. It's a welcoming spot for newcomers.
