About

Best nights: Thu, Fri, Sat

Slammer isn't your typical bathhouse — here, you keep your street clothes on. This male-only sex club in Silverlake has been open since 2000, offering private and public areas, dark corners, slings, and an outdoor patio. It's one of the busiest gay cruising spots in Los Angeles, though recent reviews call out inconsistent upkeep and a transactional feel.

Hours run overnight from 8pm, with Thu-Sat staying open until 4am and Sun-Tue closing at 2am. Entry is $37 (or $25 for members) plus a $1 locker fee; re-entry costs $5. The crowd skews older according to some visitors, but others report a mix. You'll find a more curated experience at FLEX Spas or North Hollywood Spa if that's your preference.

I've been visiting LA for years and it's gotten worse over time. The Zone was amazing in comparison. Slammer has an old-school vibe that can be fun, but the guys here seem to have big egos and need to check themselves. I've had much better experiences at Slammer in Fort Lauderdale and the baths in San Diego. Bring your own supplies, it's filthy, but still relaxing.

This place is overpriced and disappointing. Entry is $37 for non-members, much higher than the $25 members pay, and they only take cards. You also have to pay a $1 locker fee and a $5 re-entry fee if you leave. The venue has dirty floors, neglected bathrooms, and disengaged staff. The atmosphere feels cold and transactional, like a cattle market. You're better off going to WeHo.

“First time is a good time”

As a repressed young Latino, this place was exactly what I needed. I'm glad I got to visit before leaving the US.

Trust me, if you see a positive review of SLAMMER, it must have been written by the owners, not a regular member. I went back today, Sunday 06/01/25, after 15 years, and it hasn't changed at all. Maybe they added a red light bulb in one hallway. It's disappointing, especially with all the technological advancements available now. Beyond that, the members: I didn't see anyone under 65, and none had been to a gym in 40 years. It's a freak show. The outdoor area is just a smoking section, and the cigarette smell made me gag. I think I'll need to start a new club that attracts a better crowd than the geriatric and chubby types who long for the 70s. Oh my god. Filthy.

This place is wild and fun, especially if you're into attractive guys of all ages. You'll find pretty professionals, young workers, and older guys who still know how to have fun. Some people are stuck on themselves, but most just want to get off. My kind of place. It's clean, has cute guys and friendly staff, and I had a successful visit.
