Holiday Inn Express & Suites Hollywood Walk of Fame, an IHG Hotel

Hotel · Hollywood, CA

About

This hotel sits right up the road from the Walk of Fame, but its standout feature is a hillside swimming pool tucked into a landscaped garden that feels a world away from Hollywood's bustle. The property was recently renovated and now operates as the Hollywood Heights Hotel, retaining a straightforward, clean appeal with a mixed gay-straight, family-friendly vibe. It has an on-site bar and a decent restaurant, plus outdoor seating for relaxing.

Rates are fair for the location and what you get, especially considering the three-star-plus category. Reviews consistently praise the friendly staff and cleanliness. While the pool area is tranquil, the hotel is just minutes from Hollywood & Highland, the Kodak Theatre, and the Hollywood Bowl. If you want a calm base without sacrificing central access, this is your spot.

Hollywood puts you steps from the Walk of Fame, TCL Chinese Theatre, and the Hollywood Bowl. It's a central hub for tourists and locals alike.

“nay The Hollywood Depths”

At check-in, a front desk employee was quitting because the new manager had been harassing staff with vulgar language. Some sales staff also had a noticeable attitude that didn't feel gay-friendly. The rooms were dull and cheap. The newly renovated restaurant felt cramped with uninteresting decor and slow service. Go back to West Hollywood, no matter the cost.

“skip it”

I experienced homophobic treatment and bed bugs here. Definitely find another place to stay.

“I agree”

A wonderful discovery. The staff was welcoming, the place was cozy and spotless, well-managed, close to everything I needed, and very affordable. No pretentiousness or overdone decor. A solid choice.

“comfortable and welcoming option”

This hotel, previously the Holiday Inn, is now the Hollywood Heights Hotel. It's newly trendy but cozy, centrally located near Hollywood & Highland, the Kodak Theatre, the Hollywood Bowl, and the Walk of Fame. Recently renovated, I found it comfortable, very clean, and with friendly staff. It has a nice bar and decent restaurant, important for me, and a lovely pool set into a landscaped hillside that feels peaceful and hidden despite being in central Hollywood. Rates are reasonable for the location and quality, especially for a three- to four-star hotel. A great find; I'll return.
