“The Holloway”
I've stayed here multiple times as a guest and once as a hookup. The place always looked clean and well-maintained. Its location at Santa Monica and La Cienega in West Hollywood is the best feature, with a pancake house next door and the main strip within walking distance. There's also parking. Two downsides: a charge for Wi-Fi and the on-site manager's attitude. He seems completely uninterested in providing good service; asking him a question gets either a spaced-out or grumpy response. The other staff, however, are polite and helpful. Last time I was there, I nearly bet the headboard banging from the next room would break through the wall. Hopefully that's been fixed.
