“Bad location”

We spent one night here and realized the location wasn't good. There's nothing within walking distance. The hotel felt uninviting, and a physical fight happened in the lobby while we were checking in. We only used 2 of the 5 nights we reserved. An Uber to Hillcrest was $28.

“Great hotel”

The W is a trendy, gay-friendly hotel where gay and straight people mix, socialize, and celebrate. The rooms are amazing and very cozy. The W sometimes hosts gay events on the rooftop lounge, and those are fantastic too.

“Excellent Rooftop Bar”

I didn't see the rooms, but I watched the sunset from the rooftop bar overlooking the city. The bar service was just okay, but the views were great and the pool was beautiful. I'm sure the rooms are luxurious; it is a W after all.

“Fabulous Place”

All my friends have stayed at the W San Diego at least once and everyone has truly enjoyed it. Beyond being a fantastic place to stay, it's an amazing venue for parties and socializing. It was one of the first hotels in San Diego to join the local Pride parade and genuinely support the LGBTQ community. I adore the W San Diego.
