A very nice and cozy spot. From the bedroom window, you get a stunning view of downtown in the distance. The hosts are really friendly and accommodating. I had a great stay. It's about a 15-minute bus ride from downtown and the Castro area, with plenty of bus routes nearby. Good value for money. I would definitely stay again.

“Room with a view!!”

Waking up and seeing that incredible view of the city was amazing. Plus, the two hosts are incredibly nice and helpful, making you feel like part of the family rather than just a tourist. What more could you ask for?

“Great time”

I had a wonderful full week in April 2010 at Bernalview. The place was clean, neat, cozy, and above all, the owner was friendly. I still remember the charming view of San Francisco from my room, especially at night. Being near the Castro area makes it an ideal location. I would definitely choose to stay there again on my next visit.

“a great stay in San Francisco”

I've stayed twice, first in August 2008 and again in March 2009. Some friends also stayed in June 2010. We all agree the owner is very helpful and his place is lovely. It's well located with easy access to the entire city. His house is charming with a nice garden, making it a quiet and peaceful spot. Everything is perfect, from the room to the surroundings. Having tried other places years ago, I found a haven of peace here. Warmly, I say it's certainly one of the best places to stay in San Francisco. I plan to go back in spring for another great experience.
