About

The crowd at Alcazar Resort skews friendly and social, with a mix of ages from late 20s to 60s. Regulars make it feel like a gay summer camp by the end of the week. This men-only resort in Fort Lauderdale Beach offers a clothing-optional 24-hour heated pool and a small gym. It partners with Worthington Guesthouse, connected by a pathway, giving access to a hot tub and more amenities. Rooms are spacious and clean, with a fridge for your drinks and snacks.

Most guests end up lounging by the pools instead of hitting the beach. The vibe is relaxed rather than cruisy, with friendly staff and a welcoming atmosphere. It's not luxury but a solid value. Short cab ride to clubs. Open 8am to 6am overnight, so you can swim and chat in the hot tub late into the night. Check ratings and hours.

Alcazar Resort sits in Fort Lauderdale Beach, minutes from the ocean and Sebastian Street gay beach.

The Worthington and Alcazar are fantastic places to stay. They are very clean and well kept. The staff is extremely friendly. There is something for every taste. I can't wait to go back.

“Great place to stay for a few days”

The Alcazar is the sister property to the Worthington, connected by a walkway. It is quieter than the Worthington, but only in a relative sense. The Alcazar has a small gym, while the Worthington has a hot tub. The rooms in both are more like a three-star hotel. The staff was outstanding, going above and beyond to ensure guests had a fantastic time. The guests at the Worthington and Alcazar tend to be a bit more sexually active than those at other gay hotels in the Ft. Lauderdale area, though there is always some level of that at any gay hotel. The age range was late twenties to sixties, and there was fun for everyone. My partner and I met many people from around the world. Anyone will enjoy their time here.

“Felt very welcome and had a blast”

This was our first gay resort as a couple. We planned to go to the beach daily, but my partner found the clothing-optional option irresistible, so we spent the whole week by the pools, often into the night. Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Most guests were repeat visitors and were warm and welcoming. There was almost always someone to talk to, and by week's end it felt like a fun gay summer camp. Rooms were spacious, clean, and had a fridge for drinks and snacks. Easy walk to decent quick food. Clubs were a short cab ride away, and on return, there was always someone to chat with in the hot tub before bed. The clientele was mixed in age, from daddy bears to late twenty-somethings. It is not a luxury resort but offers great value for the price.

“outstanding!!”

We have stayed at several gay hotels in the area, and most have staff with bad attitudes. Not here. The staff is amazing, the room is spacious, clean, and comfortable. The art deco style building is charming. It is not a hookup-focused place but a great spot to get away and unwind for a few days.
