“filthy, not worth staying here”

The establishment is dirty, especially the bathroom, which appeared not to have been cleaned after the previous guest. The sink had a grimy film from prior visitors. When I raised this with the general manager, he became confrontational, which is unacceptable. I've stayed here before but will choose other accommodations in the future where guests are valued. It was clear the place is run down; we were the only guests.

A year ago, I spent a long weekend there. The rooms were clean and the staff accommodating. They offered a continental breakfast and charged a daily parking fee. It's the last remaining male-only clothing-optional hotel in FLL, which I really appreciate since others have become just 'gay friendly', which isn't the same. However, several buildings overlook the hotel, which takes away from the clothing-optional pool's atmosphere. I ended up buying a day pass at another hotel for privacy. The beach is only a few blocks away.

“Loved it!”

My boyfriend and I stayed here and really enjoyed it. The staff was very friendly, the rooms were very clean, and it was extremely relaxing. We will definitely stay here again next time we're in town.

“Nice, very clean and friendly place to stay.”

We stayed one night in late April 2014, after being moved from another hotel due to a burst water pipe. We were really impressed by the housekeeping staff's attention to detail and how clean the resort was overall. Great for couples, close to the beach and not far from Wilton Manors.

“Great first experience for the gay guest houses in FTL.”

We stayed at Cheston House in February 2011 for a weekend escape from cold, snowy Salt Lake City. The rate was excellent, and the location was perfect—within walking distance to the beach. It was our first gay guest house experience in Fort Lauderdale, so we weren't sure what to expect, but we really liked it. It was very clean, the staff were fun and friendly, and the accommodations were comfortable and clean. The other guests during our stay were nice guys. It wasn't a place full of hot, horny men, but they weren't far away. It was actually nice to have a quiet, discreet place to sleep, lie naked by the pool, and then head to the beach and Wilton Manors for fun. We'll try another resort next time, but we'd definitely stay here again and recommend it.
