Magnolia Studios

Bed & Breakfast · Hotel · Chicago, IL

About

You might expect a B&B in Chicago to feel urban and modern, but Magnolia Studios leans into English countryside charm instead. This renovated colonial home in Edgewater is run by Kate and Ashley, a welcoming English couple who make the space feel genuinely LGBTQ+ friendly. It's trans-friendly, family-friendly, and has outdoor seating for warmer days.

The 24-hour access makes arrival flexible, which is handy for travelers. With only 8 photos and 5 reviews, it's a small operation, so booking early is smart. If you want a bigger hotel experience, Palmer House a Hilton Hotel is nearby, but for a quiet, personal stay, this is a solid pick.

Edgewater is a lakeside neighborhood north of downtown Chicago, known for its historic homes and quiet residential feel.

“Outstading hosts and a quaint setting”

I had a great stay at Magnolia Studios. The two British women who run it took excellent care of me and my partner. I highly suggest this place.
