“Tiny but near everything”
Fantastic downtown location near all the theaters. The rooms are quite small (European style) but interesting. I stay here about once a year.

“Not recommended”
I spent one night and then moved to a different hotel. The common areas are nice and the location is convenient, but my room was extremely small and felt claustrophobic, with an even tinier bathroom. Everything in the room looked old and unattractive. I'm a 61-year-old professional, and I chose this hotel because I could walk to the Merchandise Mart, but I wouldn't stay again. The subway system is good enough that you can stay anywhere and easily get where you need to go. It's definitely overpriced and I do not recommend it.

“Upscale Convenience”
I've stayed here several times; the rooms are comfy and attractive, but the bathrooms are on the small side. It's very convenient for downtown theaters since it's connected to one, and close to L and subway stations in the north Loop. It just reopened after a major renovation.
