“the best christmas ever”
Years ago, I arrived at the White Gate Inn the day before Christmas Eve and asked if they had any rooms. The owners said they had one available and told me the price, but I couldn't afford it. Despite that, they let me stay anyway out of the kindness of their hearts, along with their little dog I Declaire. They showed me what Christmas really meant. When I left on Christmas Day, I found a hand-painted ornament they had left on my bed. I hang it on my tree every year and smile, remembering how they made a lonely Christmas better. Thank you again.
